You’re invited to Wikipedia Day NYC 2026 to help us celebrate the 25th birthday of Wikipedia, the biggest online encyclopedia on the internet! Co-hosted with Wikimedia DC and the Wikimedia Foundation, together we will explore the past, present, and future of the free knowledge movement, and celebrate all the people, communities and ideas that make Wikipedia possible.

Whether you’re a longtime contributor or a supporter of Wikipedia, we would love to see you there!

Important information
[edit]- Registration requirements: For security reasons, all attendees must have a Wikipedia account to register. The registration list, including names and contact details, will be shared with our internal Trust & Safety team, and may also be shared with the English Wikipedia Arbcom. You can create your account by registering at the top right corner of this page.
- Security protocols: Airport-style security procedures will be in place before check-in, including bag checks and metal detectors. There will also be security officers patrolling the venue. Please allow extra time when entering the building. Please note that access to the venue and event is contingent on completing the required security checks.
- Code of Conduct: All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's code of conduct and Photo Consent Policy.
